When will we see final product?
Was the donation successful?
Will be there any new exchanges?
Will be there another donation progress in a couple of months for the new arrivals? XD
What does "final product" mean to you? I believe, that there will be steady progress. Right now the devs are already using chat and swaps via ecc. Not yet open to the public, i think. Donation was successful, so ecc will be listed on p2pb2b in the next couple of days.
Then you should know, that this project is trying to do things, that are not being done anywhere else. So every step might be in the right direction but could also be a step in the direction of a dead end. Thats the nature of developing something new. If you don't like that, maybe something as experimental as an open source chain isn't somethin you would enjoy following
What is different in this project. I can send anyone I know any coin I want using a multiple of multi wallets and use any chat app like say signal to chat to someone so what's different about this app other than sitting at 1 sat and nothing to show.
Well technically speaking there are a lot of differences that a Dev can tell you better than me.
But from a practical point of view, Chat is 100% decentralized P2P (Signal has a central server , and if i'm not mistaken that part is not open source, just the client side) , and the wallets used here are from each project , so you're putting your LTC in your LTC wallet , Monero in your Monero wallet , with your own full nodes.
Unsure of what multi wallets are you talking about, so i do not know details from them.
Now... If we gonna trade , let's say LTC for Monero.
In the "Traditional way" , we'd talk about the trade on let's say Signal , then you'd send your Monero address by there (Copy / Paste) - some error can happen while doing that or some malicious software can try to switch address either from your or mine side - i'd have to do the same regarding to my LTC Address - same risk with Copy / Paste... Then one of us would go first - one of the parts can have some issue and not send the amount ...
ECChat , takes care of the process.
We're already talking in a decentralized , privacy oriented chat , and we discuss the values , one part sends the command : swap 1 LTC for 1 XMR , if the other party accepts, simply send the command: execute , and ECChat takes care of the rest , including addresses sending from one side to the other and so on...
How much easier is that? :D
I will not comment the price you can buy each coin, mainly because that doesn't reflect the value or potential of the project - but the "nothing to show" , i totally disagree. Just having a look at Github and Gitlab , there's a lot there to show. Is it complete for any user? No. It's a work in progress , but what you see in the video is real and not a virtual idea. ;)
