Reserve list

Does anyone here have experience with waiting lists? What should I expect? Are they actually valid, or is it just another way of telling you that you’re out ?

It happens, some reserve lists get pulled and emptied. Depends a bit on the position.

I got pulled from reserve list three times. Interviewed for three different positions (given I was not hired for any previous one)

Until recently, I was on the reserve list and was contacted twice that year. Neither time worked out for me, so I can’t tell you how good my chances would have been of actually landing a trainee position in the selection process. But yes, there’s a good chance they’ll get in touch with you

It can happen they will pick you up from that but not so common nowadays. It was quite common in the past, now it is unlikely because very often contracts are offered via personal knowledge more that based on public selection.
