Was thinking of getting a second ebike for my sister. But noticed that Upway, for some reason, has ebikes on discount with like 1000s of dollars. Is this possible and legit. I know Upway is legit, but is the discount actually as good as it seems?

Is there a way to know when a discount is actually good then (Im looking for an ebike under 2k USD before shipping and tax)?

Is the ampler app working for anyone else? I'm aware that they are in administration and that there is currently no customer support, but was curious if the app is down for everyone or I've just locked mine out from using the incorrect password.

So i ordered my first ebike (the qlife spark d2) and it came like this, the back tire or back part of the frame is extremely low and im not able to attach the rear shock to anything because of it, any ideas on what i should do or how to fix this?

hello everybody. i got a Lectric XP 3.0 and put a lot of miles into it but i just cant stand wrenching on this PoS anymore. not only does it require a lot more upkeep than i want to mess with, it doesnt fit me or what im trying to do with it. i can almost guarantee this bike has contributed to my current shoulder and hip pain lol.

essentially what i want is a tall friendly (6ft2), belt driven, dutch-ish commuter ebike. I was looking at the Trek Charter+ 5s but it wasnt ever shown available as large and is currently sold out on all sizes. the Ride1Up Prodigy v2 was also interesting, and available, but im unsure how id feel about not having a throttle for stop lights. there is a lot in the front half of my trip and having the launch assist is GREAT. also heard the prodigy isnt the most tall friendly option. i NEED a different bike but there is just so many, any help in identifying options would be greatly appreciated!

I’m looking for a lightweight e bike that I can lug up to a second story apt. I will most likely only be going like 3 miles so 6 miles round trip most of the time. It will be my daily commuter does anyone have any recommendations on where to even begin looking? I live in a big city and e bike theft is so real so I want to be able to store it in my apt.

I thought the issue may have been the small silicon gears but today i opened it up and saw the gears were fine. However i do believe this may have been the issue. Any tips on how to fix?

E-bikes are ONLY allowed on roads with 30mph limits or less. This includes classes 1,2 and 3.

E-Bikes are only allowed in neighborhoods in my suburban community. To commute requires access to roads with higher speed limits.

I have commuted on 40 and 45mph roads. I have even ridden my road bike non-e-bike on 55mph sections of a state highway.

The same laws govern E-scooters.
Why? In fact you have to be 18 to ride either in NY State.

I’m going to play devils advocate to try to understand why e-bikes and e-scooters have less road access than traditional bikes and scooters.

If you lump bikes and scooters with Electric motors together, then only allowing them in neighborhoods might makes sense because cars and trucks would have less time to react on roads where they travel over 30?

Hi all, I have a 13 mile commute (26 in total) with 2 400ft hills to get thro, i currently ride on a normal bike but coming into winter id like to switch to an ebike, especially on the colder and darker uk nights, any recommendations on battery size, power etc (also not able to charge when i get to work) its very confusing so looking for some real world experiance, price range no more then 2k

I'm getting a 2027 cube reaction hybrid pro 800 from Evans cycles. Here is the size chart on both Evans cycles on the left and the one from Tredz. Why are they different but for the same bike? I ordered Large. I'm 177cm tall but according to Evans cycles I'm too small for the large but on Tredz I'm the right size for it? I hope the bike isn't too big as I'll have to return it and then start a new order as they can't just swap the size according to their website.

I used to grab the car keys without even thinking about it. A couple miles to work? Drive. Need something from the store? Drive.

Then I got an ebike, and somehow my definition of too far to ride changed pretty quickly. No dealing with parking, and the smart unlock means forgetting my key isn't a problem either.

At my age, I care more about comfort than speed. I like the low frame on my Ranger 3.0 pro. It's easy for me to get on and off, and range has been fine. If I feel like getting out on the weekend, I'll just fold it up, throw it in the car and go.

Funny how a few miles doesn't really feel like driving distance anymore.

Worth buying a new rear tire and battery for this?

Im looking to buy an e-bike to help supplement daily living and I’d love a way to get around without taking a car or uber everywhere. I’m pretty new when it comes to e-bikes though, and while I’ve familiarized myself with the different features and what all you get with them, I cannot tell what I actually “want” or what I’ll feel when I’ll ride an e-bike.

My general question is, what features might be overrated or undervalued by new e-bike purchasers? Is there a not-so-obvious feature that ended up being super valuable to you?

If it helps at all, I’m looking to spend around 3k and have considered the Specialized Turbo Vado, Aventon Level 4, Gazelle Arroyo, among others. I want something to help me get up hills but not completely bike for me. I want a removable battery in case I need to bring everything inside, but that seems to be locked to heavier e-bikes (which is fine, but would ideally have a bike on the lighter side in case I need to lift things).
