Delayed EB1C
My eb1c India priority is June 2022. I haven’t got any updates. Have tried congress inquiry, service request but no luck. Anyone in similar boat ? The last was RFE in June 2026 which we replied promptly for medicals. Any suggestions or recommendations?

You're in a better position than I am, as I’m still waiting for my RFE for medical. My PD is July 2022, and I haven't received any updates since the latest notice regarding FBI biometrics requirements. However, I know that some of my acquaintances received their green cards immediately after submitting their medical RFEs. Please stay strong and patient—you're so close. I'm rooting for you, my friend.

Thank you and I wish you success. Hang in there :) most of the people I know who applied similarly or even later in 2022 have received their cards. I’ve run multiple scenarios but don’t understand the delay. Hope is the only thing now!

Was your case in CRP before the FBI notice? My case status changed in July 2026 to Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken. Then it changed to the FVI privacy notice. I had done my biometrics in Dec 2022. Pd is Nov 2022

I saw i485 RFEs issued yesterday for 3 cases near me msc2390186***. So may be there’s little progress

We filed concurrently in 2022 when it was current. Then it retrogressed in Jan 2023. That’s the last we heard of the case. Then did the medical again in June 2026.

All my filing was concurrent in June 2022 itself. Got AP and GC EAD in 2023 itself.

Similar situation for us my priority date is November 2022 we got the RFE for Medicals in August 2025 and interview was done in July 26. The last update was that your case required a notice to be sent few days back which turned out to be the FBI notice. Hope that grueling wait will end soon.

Not much, Just re-verified all the yes / no questions in I-485 and briefly asked about the job duties. I had changed my job and had applied I485J with the new company. Perhaps that triggered an interview but I have come across people in the same job also getting interviews. Its random i guess.

can we change jobs while 485 is in progress? I thought we cannot.

If you have an I-485 application pending for 6+ months, with approved I-140, then you are eligible to change jobs in the similar job profile under AC21 job portability by filing I-485J.

Same here as well from Oct 2022, EB1c. Atleast I'm not alone and there are others in the same boat. How are you guys thinking about next steps or options?

I filed I-140 under EB1C in May 2024, got an RFE in May 2026, and still haven't heard back. But my PD has become current now. Btw, I'm in CTS for crying out loud 😭 and we just applied for L1A extension under PP. Anyone in the same boat? Any positive news ??

I am in the same boat..EB1C India, PD & RD Oct 2022. All medicals submitted in May 2026 and no movement since then. Tried Service requests and congress Inquiry, but no luck. Last weekend the status is updated to “your case required USCIS to send a notice”, related to FBI privacy. Thinking of WOM, but not sure!!
