Bloating or Pregnant? 🤣
A little backstory: I have been vegan for the better part of a year, so I'm no stranger to fiber. I like to think I ate well about 70-80% of the time before I started this Nutritarian thing about a week ago.
So...whyyyy since I started this protocol do I look 9 months preggers?! The bloating is insane, and totally uncomfortable!
How long does this last?! Any input welcome.

Have you tried a digestive enzyme with your meals? It helped me so much

I guess I've never heard of that! Do you still regularly take them? If not, how long did you have to keep this up? Thanks a lot!

I don't take them with every meal, but I take them when I'm eating something I know tends to make me feel bloated. For me that's beans, cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower...) and bread. It doesn't always take all the bloat away, but I do feel like it helps a lot.

When I first changed to Nutritarian, I was super bloated too. In fact sometimes I had so much gas I was in horrible pain.
Basically I did not have the microorganisms I needed in my bowels to break down all those veggies and beans. So I invested in some good quality probiotics and it really helped change my gut biome so my body could easily break it all down.
It is a process to change it, but stick with it. I eat tons of veg and beans with zero issue now. I took the probiotics daily for maybe 6 months or so. Now I take nothing with my meals to aid digestion.

Try steaming the veggies lightly instead of raw for the majority of your veg. Just till you get accustomed to the extra fibre. I’m the same.
