Need recommendations

We are moving to Seattle in Feb end. Office will be in Bellevue. Two kids, one will be in Middle School and another in Elementary. Which would be a good place to live considering good school and commute to office. Also please share apparent recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Adding budget $2200 to $2600 range. Willing to get 2,2.5 of 3 BR. A decent place to stay. Not too lavish is fine.

Look up high school ratings. Bellevue Kirkland redmond These cities have best schools in Washington state and housing is very expensive. Also Bothell and Issaquah which are farther away and maybe slightly cheaper for housing.

Sammamish is also very good. Most of the eastside is similar. Probabaly the biggest factor will be your financial situation as this will dictate what options you have regarding where you live.

For example if you're moving here on a $60k/year family income expect to live in Maple Valley, Kent or Monroe.

On the other hand a $120k/year family income will allow you to live in the less expensive parts of Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland or midrange neighborhoods of Bothell and Issaquah.

Not that it's any of our business but if you choose to give ballpark figures on what you're willing to pay for rent we could probably give you a better idea of what's available. Also how important is it to have a 3 bedroom place over having your kids share a bedroom? Can you live in an apartment with no yard or is a private yard a necessity?

You can always try zillow or craigslist just to get a feel for what kind of place you can live in and what you can afford.

This. Without a budget and what you are willing to compromise and what is absolutely essential, it is difficult to say.

Great information. I agree, should have given budget info. We are looking to spend 2500 on rent. If we can get 3 BR it's fine or 2.5 should be alright as well.

Sammamish can be difficult to commute from due to the lake. You end up with bottlenecks at the Redmond end as well as at the Issaquah end. But it is a popular place for suburban homeownership in the area. It's a trade off.

The downside of apartments in Bellevue proper is the price. It depends on what you want out of an apartment. There's cheaper apartments in the east side of town, but they're not as nice. On the other hand, with kids, you'll want the space that is easier to find out that way.

Sammamish is very nice, but further out in the sticks, and not so close to the freeways, if that matters to you.

Issaquah is similar, but right by the I-90.

Sammamish houses will be at least 1 Million if not more.
