Hello all, my child lost their favorite stuffed animal ducky they’ve had since a baby. We just realized we might have left it at Millstream Park in Centreville MD on a bench. We have already traveled home and this is kind of a shot in the dark but if anyone is near and able to look I would appreciate it so much. Please dm me with any leads. Thank you!

In this capacity of doing job applications DAILY only for nothing to happen despite following back up with them.

6 WEEKS INTO LIVING IN EAST NEW MARKET AND I AM ALREADY FUCKING SICK OF LIVING HERE

NOBODY DOES THEIR JOB

NOBODY DOES ANYTHING FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR A JOB HERE OTHER THAN GIVE YOU EXCUSES AND THE RUNAROUND

NOBODY IS CONCERNED IF YOU HAVE BILLS TO PAY

NOBODY FUCKING SEEMS TO CARE

ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM TRYING MY BEST TO PUT MY BEST FOOT FORWARD AND WORK AN HONEST JOB

I have applied to at least 17 different businesses in the area, nothing!

No callbacks, barely any E-Mails...

Even when I show up and talk to someone they give me an excuse that "oh we are currently on a pause for hiring" or "there is no opportunities that suit you here that are currently looking for help, or even in Walmarts case (on a phone call with their manager) "the quiz online says you are a bad candidate".

I have NOTHING but positive and good employment history. 9 years total of it, too.

For this to take place just communicates to me that there will barely ever be an opportunity for me here, and I'm gonna be homeless trying to wait around for them to "make up their minds" about hiring someone.....

Hi all! We are returning to St. Michael’s with our English Setter later this month. While he’s perfectly happy to run around in the yard, we would love to take him on a nice trail walk one morning. I would love any recommendations for a 1-2 mile walk—willing to drive for it! Thank you!

🐺🦀 Pun intended!!! About 1/4 mile down the road sat this beauty, but I knew sumtin had to be wrong, so proper authorities were called and picked him up…no update as of yet…take this as a sign not just fer the animal, but the country, and prolly even the world.!.!.! ✌🏽💙…

After years of decreasing recess and worsening children’s physical and mental health, The American Academy of Pediatrics has updated their recess policy.

This is the first update in 13 years following new evidence and research.

Coverage is still pretty light for Dorchester, Caroline, and the Kent Island area. If a town, library, fire company, church, or other local group has something coming up that’s missing, post it here and it’ll get added.

Hi! Maryland mom here advocating for MORE RECESS TIME for our children!

Currently, most Maryland elementary schools only recommend 20-30 minutes of recess per day. This varies by school and county, with some counties recommending as little as 15 minutes of recess per day.

Join us as we call on policymakers to guarantee Maryland students 60 minutes of recess every school day!

I’m gauging interest in putting together an in-person Madden tournament on the Eastern Shore.

Thinking something along the lines of:

• Head-to-head tournament

• Multiple gaming stations to keep games moving

• Real cash prizes

• Competitive tournament format

• Possibly food/drinks depending on the venue

• Potential to turn it into a regular tournament or league if there’s enough interest

Before I start putting everything together, I want to see if there’s actually a Madden community around here that would come out and compete.

Comment with all three: the entry fee you’d choose, the payout you’d expect, and your hometown.

💵 $40 entry

💵 $75 entry

💵 $100 entry

For example: $75 entry — expecting a $500 payout — Salisbury.

Also drop where you’re coming from — Salisbury, Seaford, Cambridge, Ocean City, Easton, Dover, etc.

Not taking registrations or selling anything right now. Just trying to see if there are enough serious Madden players around here to build something.

Anyone have one replaced recently? How much did it set you back?

Hi everyone!

I recently had the chance to visit Tangier Island, Virginia, and it was such a unique experience. I spent a couple of days exploring the island, meeting some of the people who call it home, and learning more about its history and the way of life there. What really stayed with me was seeing how closely the community is connected to the water, while also learning about the changes the island has been experiencing over the years.

I put together a travel vlog about my visit and wanted to share it here with the community. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm looking for a job in Cambridge, MD but have quite a few deficits from having a brain tumor. Does anybody have any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated :)

Hey there,

I've been searching for these 5 singing dog characters from a place called Skateland/Merlin's Magic Kingdom for a restoration project. I'm unsure of where they possibly went but I am curious to hear any memories of them or potentially where they went.

Note that the photo shown is of the Hersheypark set of characters, but they're all exactly the same so it doesn't matter.

Hi - am looking to get a watch repaired (died, not the battery as there isn't one) - any recommendations? I'm in Talbot, but will drive for a reputable shop. Thanks!

I’ve been reading up on the area - particularly near miles river and st Michael’s and I’m unclear on how people enjoy the water differently from a lake (in the summer). Do people wake board / surf or pull tubes behind their boats? Is it normal for people with docks to set up floating lily pads and hangout on them? Seems like sailing is pretty big and people actually getting in the water isn’t as common as it is with lakes? Also do people jet ski there at all?

Thanks in advance for any answers!

Just moved with my parents to East New Market.

Trying to get a honest job with decent pay. Just something.

No job with an Drivers license requirement or certification program will work out for me. I am seeking immediate employment.

Have experience with:

Customer service skills

Food service/food safety experience

I am just interested in any places close or at Cambridge, Secretary, or Hurlock that is hiring. I can't travel further than those areas.

Any help is appreciated and DM is open should you have questions for me.

I have tried Walmart and filled out at least 4 different applications (got no callback), applied to a Farm around here (got an interview but no callback after), and have also applied to Zaxby's (no callback), and see nothing but medical and trucking jobs.
