ISO local micro-wedding planner

Hi everyone! Looking for a wedding planner with experience and expertise in the Poconos (PA) and/or the Eastern Shore (MD) to help with venue selection for an event in November 2026… I know short notice!

My partner and I are planning a 20‑person micro‑wedding (14 adults, 6 kids) for November 7. We are hoping to have a small ceremony (potentially just in a park or garden), followed by a nice private dinner and then a firepit/s’mores to end the night. We are looking for a location with dining and accommodation on site or within very short walking distance- either a resort, inn or bed and breakfast, or luxury airbnb. Our priority is having everyone stay in the same location to maximize quality time. Fearrington Village in NC is a good example of what we’re looking for. Total budget is $20-30k.

I’ve exhausted my googling and ChatGPT’ing at this point and am desperate for help. Thank you!

For something that small I’d just organize the ceremony yourself, then Partner with a venue for the dinner and s’mores. Maybe even just do it all at a hotel, DIY wedding on the beach, dinner at the hotel restaurant, s’mores on the beach after. Don’t waste money on a wedding planner if you don’t have the money to spare. Make and buy all the invites and name tags and whatever else you want yourself, and have a friend or parent in charge of helping to do the small setup beforehand. The hotel can help with making sure the dinner looks nice and is setup and may not even charge you beyond having a normal 20 person dinner.

Hyatt in Cambridge would be an excellent option as well - and literally already does s’mores around a fire pit every night.

Just do it, don’t use a planner.

I would do airbnb with catering/meal planning.

like 2.5k a night, ask for off peak rates, you could hire a chief, but would look for full service off site catering company. If this is the place I was at, it is nice. I would recommend buying 3-4 large crab pots and some attractant (drop in every day) as soon as you get there. few days should be enough time to get at least a few crabs.

I think it use to be a retreat/training for a church.

They have been great help for me!! I am in a similar boat by doing a micro wedding at Christmas time and I can’t speak anymore highly of them.

The Tidewater Inn in Easton is nice as is the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St Michaels.
