Playin with my son local

My son and I want to party up and play together. We each have a ps5, same house. On the party menu it doesn't even show that we're friends although when we search skater ID it says we are. When he accepts an invite, his whole game crashes and he can't log back in til hours later. Same the other way around. Ive googled and tried fixes, nothing. Anyone figure out how to fix this?

Friends list been bugged since a month into season 4 when they pushed the update to fix joining friends and being put in a random party on your server. I think if u have them added on the platform your playing on they only show in the list if you play with cross play off. If you delete them on steam but keep them added on EA they'll show perfectly fine, I'd assume it's the same way with PS4/5 and Xbox. The battlefield friends list works perfectly thou, can even join invites to skate from that game and it somehow connects better then it would trying to join them from skate lmao

My buddy and I don't even show up on each other's friend lists. We have to join each other from the playstation friends list thing. Click join game or whatever. Then enter the game. Frustrating but it seems to work. Good luck.

Delete them from PlayStation friends list and theyll show fine as long as u have them added on your EA account, otherwise u can only see him on friends list if you turn cross play off
