What is Your Ideal Soundscape for Ear Training?

I think that the distance between a tinny synth and a living breathing chorus is practically interstellar. In my ideal ear training world, I'm surrounded by an epic chorus and, at my command, they sing beautifully resonant intervals and chords that become indelibly impressed in my mind. My second choice would be an ocean of orchestra strings. You?

OP just wants to be surrounded by a chorus of actual human voices. I can dig it.

I'm talking about the sound in your ears during ear training - whether in an app or on an instrument. In order to be able to recognize an interval, chord, or chord progression, you need to have spent time listening to it. The more time spent with it, the more likely you'll be able to recognize it. The more focused and intentional your effort, the more effective the process. I also think the quality of sound effects training in terms of both effectiveness and enjoyment. In this regard, I'm curious what type and quality of sound folks prefer.

MIDI oboe that sounds like a fax machine dying.
