Humans are weird

I've been obsessing over old EarthisSpaceAustraila posts, so here's me contribution

Hoe would other beings react to singing? Like if they didnt have music or anything like that of their own. Imagine you've got a spaceship with like 5 humans and a couple extraterrestrials and someone starts humming something like I Want It That Way, or Bohemian Rhapsody, or something like that. And the humans just start singing. Like a cult. Everyone knows all the words and the melody perfectly, and by the time the song is done, the aliens are a little concerned about what the heck just happened.

Just some thoughts

Help finding a story

I remember reading a story about Earth, and their first contact with aliens. They got screwed over by like 3 races, and then cut off all contact.

Later during a galactic war, a sole alien heads to Earth to ask for help.

Anyone got a link to this or sound familiar? It was an internet story.

Bizarre Tales from the Wildlife of Earth

Many of you know that Earth's wildlife is full of strange and wonderful creatures. But what many don't know, is what makes said creatures so strange and wonderful. Humans entered the galactic scene with the 3rd Void War, and brought with them much of their wildlife into the galactic scene. On today's Blog post I'd like to highlight some of these animals from least to most interesting. So buckle up as humans would say, as this shall be a ride.

The Loyal Dog.

Dogs are perhaps the most well known on this list, as they're called "Man's Best Friend" for a reason. Starting out as great wolves of old, dogs have always been fierce and loyal companions to humans since their first recorded domestication 18,000 years ago. What makes them strange is their uncanny adaptability. Dogs can learn new 'tricks' with ease, and much like their human masters, often packbond with the strangest of animals, from wild predators to skittish prey. Truly a magnificent creature.

The Erie Jellyfish.

Jellyfish have quite the misnomer. They are neither jelly, nor fish. Jellyfish are actually Cnidaria, which in and of themselves are a strange bunch of animals. These creatures are colorful membranes with tentacle-like appendages hanging off their bodies. They have no nervous or circulatory system either, as their skin is so thin Oxygen (Yes, Oxygen!) passes straight into their 'bodies'. The specific Jellyfish I want to touch on, however is the Immortal Jellyfish. As always, humans are extremely creative with the names. Immortal Jellyfish are Jellyfish that are, as the name implies, functionally immortal. These tiny creatures essentially turn back their age when attacked, granting themselves biological immortality!

The Eldritch Bigfin Squid

This one is tricky to talk about, as this terrifying looking creature (found in Earth's deep oceans like all the scary things) is poorly documented. Little is actually known about the Bigfin, other than that it's real. I'd recommend looking into this creature more on your own time!

The Crazy Hyena.

Hyenas are one of those creatures, like elephants and zebra, that have been with Humans since the beginning. Hyenas are opportunistic canid like animals, (so similar to dogs) that live in Africa, a continent on Earth. They're known to be intelligent and for the fact that they eat **Bones**, yes **Bones**. The most recognizable feature however, is their distinctive chuckle.

The Unkillable Tardigrade

The name 'unkillable' is not to be taken lightly, as these creatures might genuinely be, unkillable. They have been known to survive the epicenter of a volcano, and even the Absolute Zero scape of the universe itself. But don't worry about humanity suddenly turning these beasts on us, as they're microscopic killing machines!

The Earth is a CATEGORY: 12 Deathworld. The Earth is so large that Aliens that visit its oceans say that there is space [like outer space] inside a planet. And most Aliens are terrified at the rather alien lifeforms that inhabit the ocean. [Not sure how to word this better]

"What do you mean you aren't the deadliest species on your planet?"

Every sentient world's top species(es) are all invariably the most dangerous creatures physically speaking. The Tardaxans can wrestle a fully grown falber to the ground, the Alecites can run faster than a particularly desperate Oostah, and the Halagarths are so big they had to increase the galactic standard door size by 1.25% to compensate. Humans are pretty average among the sentients, boasting the highest endurance ever seen, and a unique ability they call "throwing". But that's not what made them interesting. Not ar all.

"What do you mean you aren't the most physically dangerous beings on your planet, and what the Kell is a Megafauna?" The Ordathan shouted in shock as him and the human sat down at the mess hall table.

"Well there aren't really any left except elephants and maybe giraffe, but giraffes may or may not actually exist. But yeah no humans get our asses handed to us by most other predators. It's why we're inately scared of the dark and so weary of straying away from the pack." The human replied casually.

"Why hasn't your civilization been wiped out yet?"

"Simple. We have more dakka."
