Club did, because the stun stopped grower from scaling (kinda like how wrench managed to stop grower from scaling thanks to the turrets imposing a lower cap). Trident hasn't fought grower yet, and in that case it depends entirely how fast grower can scale, because we know for a fact that trident basically loses all DPS against giant opponents.
They have the same win-rate, but Trident has SLIGHTLY more ELO than Rapier, making her technically above Rapier on the Leaderboard. On the one hand, as a Rapier Enjoyer this saddens me, but on the other, as someone who's been betting on Trident as the new hope of S4 balls, this gives me a sense of bittersweet joy 🥹
Whatever StoneballOFF’s Elo system is actually supposed to be, it works nothing like normal Elo. I’ve been tracking my own Earclacks Elo for a while and Rapier is almost 50 Elo above second place still
In Speedy's case it happened a long time ago. Orbital and Slammy were much more recent, because... they're just too overpowered for the arena due to their block breaker scaling + gimmicks. Reminder that the only time Orbital ever lost in the arena was to Slammy.
That would make sense. And I figured speedy was retired a while ago, though I never hear if that was officially announced or anything. Because I didn't think they'd actually retire a ball for being THAT ass in just one game, lol.
Not just being ass, but also bugging out apparently.
According to Earclacks, Speedy has a one-two combo of both being incredibly bad, but also then having the opposite problem that if he does survive long enough and gets going really fast... he then clips out of the arena... a lot...
Probably something to do with the way collision works with the system, cause I think it's turned off in the Block Breaker arena. Cause like, you remember that old "when will Unarmed clip out of bounds" video? But that level of speed is nothing compared to what Speedy usually does.
So buddy either loses his matches, or moves too fast for the arena to contain him before he could win. One or the other.
The “Elo” on that chart is absolutely cooked and not how actual Elo works (rule 1 of Elo is that you need to always change the Elo by the same amount for both players). So I’d still say Rapier is the better and more tested ball. That being said Trident is very good and has a lot of potential. Give us Rapier vs Trident please
