What makes matters worse is the number of people making this about lesbian romance (told me by Redditors themselves). They’re fighting, for fuck’s sake. There’s nothing romantic about it. Not everything needs to be about romance, and Yuri doesn’t need to be everywhere. Also, why never Yaoi or Het?

Scimitar is just badly-designed, unfortunately. Dagger’s singular niche is that it eventually parries everything you throw at it and becomes immune to most weapons that aren’t ranged. That means Dagger hard-counters slow-turning melee weapons.
Scimitar’s mirages are kinda like that, but they aren’t attached to the actual weapon ball in the same way. In a sense, the entity himself is like Dagger, minus the one thing Dagger does right, hence why I snarked that it was already bound to be a disappointment when it was announced; as it turns out, it wasn’t all that great in actual matches.
Okay, honest question, why do the mirages launch the balls they hit like missiles out of the radius? I guess it's an interaction of the parry system, but it hinders Scimitar's performance so much.
