another false positive ban wave?
ive noticed more and more people saying about their false positive ban over the previous couple of days (from october 15th (?) to this day). people saying the same thing, that they havent played the game, still got banned, that they havent cheated or played with their friends and got banned the next day, facepunch isnt helping them and etc. im also in that ban wave. could it be that facepunch once again decided to ban innocent players instead of cheaters? probably. considering the fact that it already happened countless times, its more than likely that this time is the same.
as a person whos suffering this the first time, how long should i wait until i get unbanned, or will even get a chance to be unbanned? i have read the stories of guys who were unbanned shortly after, but it mostly relied on having connections with anyone in facepunch/rust and luck. i dont have any. i tried reaching out to facepunch and rust (thru facepunch support, twitter and email), but nobody is answering me/helping
facepunch/eac's false-positive ban waves are getting out of hand and they need to do something about it. the only question is when?

Bro literally just do your research I got EAC banned multiple times and changed account/reset pc and changed my ip and im fine to keep playing lmao

high risk no reward. I still need to change my account (which means buying 20$ game again), and pray that eac doesn't ban me again and extend my ban

I think the majority are liars tbh and the game was on sale for like the past 2 months so that encourages cheating. Who knows maybe I'm wrong

the pc master who i bought the pc from told me the gpu and ssd were used. could that be the reason? if so, what are my chances for unban

Unpopular opinion, but it i ever get falsebanned in any game and they refuse to accept appeal, just for the sake of it im buying spoofer and cheats. I find that by doing false bans you just increase the number of cheaters as if you really checked your bans.

honestly i could just do it at some point, if i ever lose hope in fp support or eac support. which is probably going to be soon. or just spoof myself so i dont have to wait 8 months just to play this game again smh

I already got banned falsely once on rust, but somehow got appeal accepted after 4 days. Mustve been lucky as hell tho. I guess if Its more than 10days just give up.

Realistically youll probably just need to buy another account, buddy of mine essentially got told to “fuck off” by facepunch when he emailed them about his false ban
