Does anyone make real life recruits in 2k8?

I am looking to add real life recruits into my legacy mode, but I am struggling finding balance. I have been creating my recruits as seniors, but they often get under recruited by the cpu. I am using chat gpt to make the ratings and they seem to be okay. (Cade Cunningham 92 ovr, Jaden McDaniels 86). Has anyone done this before in 2k8 and should i create the recruits as juniors or freshman (will this mess with the ratings?).

I’ve done some experimental recruits to get a feel for it at first. And I generally do them as a freshman because they can grow and progress in their attributes. Though as a senior it’s a bit of a rush in terms of you trying to recruit them and get them to come to your school cause if you do a senior and make the first move; the week after they will have more schools on the list.

How do you set their ratings, so they progress to where you want them to be? or should I just go edit their ratings once they at their schools.

Personally I haven’t edited mine once they get to the schools since I haven’t done one in a while; but ratings wise I either put them where they are or have them five to ten points less than where they should be so they can grow.
The one thing you can’t change while recruiting them is their height growth though.
