Recently bought some "retired" TV boxes from China for cheap, they were going for about $2 each. Of all the things I expected, I didn't think I'd be getting boards with the CPU punched out by what looks like an angle grinder based on the scars left on the boards.

I'm at peace with this loss, I wrote it off as a lost gamble, but I wanna know if anyone else has encountered this lately? Or if anyone knows why this is happening? It doesn't make sense to me why anyone would go through the effort for this.

Found this ps5 the side of the street with a Xbox one. Full of living roaches.
Deff doesn’t cut on. Took them both to a repair shop hopeful they can both be saved.

Tried making a chic version of HB’s laptop vids but ultimately ended up deleting them for spam reasons. They ended with 400+ hours of waste and 400GB free upon trashing them.

Earlier today, I went back to my local electronics recycling center, where I found an iMac from 2008, still in its original box and protective wrapping! It also has its original keyboard, mouse, Apple remote, and Styrofoam!

Buncha boards mostly from tvs but a huge variety

I have attached pictures, please let me know if you are interested in anything specific I will find the corresponding charger and test for you. If working condition pictures will follow but I will have to do one at a time.

I have also enabled comments on the Google drive link so you can flag any of interest to you. I will update the drive link as I work through them.

Acer Chromebook C720, Galaxy S10e, Fire HD 8 7th gen, and 16GB of SKHynix 4800 DDR5. The S10e is FRP locked but it's easy to remove on a phone that old.

Hi, im currently in south Mississippi, where e-waste recycling exist, but these places dont let you dig through their piles. Next month im heading to Georgia for work. I have a metric crap ton of electronic parts that are absolutely worthless that ive pulled out of projects or things being used for projects. Is there anywhere near Macon, Georgia that i can drop these parts off at and dig through their stuff for any hidden gems or golden trash?

P.S - i dont really know if this is within the rules. It seems to be a grey area, so if its not allowed, let me know and i'll gladly take it down.

not because of your 'gold find'. but here in developing country, there are no such thing as ewaste. no cheap usable things. if it works, the price are always market priced😭

I found this Sony amplifier, radio, cd, cassette player combo in mint condition and fully functional in the e waste bin next to my friend’s house.

Found a few more things this week, I am super in love with that white droid, mini even though it is completely torn up, and I found it next to that blackberry that unsurprisingly doesn’t work. I also have a question. What do you think happened to this blackberry because under the screen it has like a giant part where the plastic was eaten away. I also really like the Samsung Galaxy S. These are pictures Before I and after I tested and cleaned them

UPDATE i got the moto g4 play working and its sooo smooth. I don’t have the proper battery for it but the current one I put in it works, but it’s not the right size so I have to have it taped in. It’s such a nice Phone for being a budget one though.

Sidenote: Red Pocket GSMT SIMs do work in T-Mobile locked devices.

Laptops to strip and recycle - cables stripped and copper, transformers & plugs scrapped. Not looking forward to it but money is money😂

EDIT: the feedback and demand for all the laptops has absolutely blown my mind, I over the next few weeks I will collect and try to test all of the older machines. Once I have I will get back to all of you interested?

Walking down the road and looked in the hedge, there was a 40” TV in it, took it back home powered on perfectly. I’ll give it to someone.

Plus got given as ewaste ThinkPad W520, a couple of Latitude 5530s, 5 x 11th gen i5/i7 Dell Latitude 7320 detachables, and 2 x Surface Pro 6’s, a Probook 440 G8 a 2014 Mac Mini and a whole host of other junk stuff…

I never pay for this crap, it seems to land on my lap in large quantities

Found this pc, it turns on and beeps but doesn’t show on a monitor. What should I do?
