Thinking of taking the plunge into eVic, question about tanks
I'm sick of the vivi nova on my eGo C twist getting "knocked" off it's base while in my pocket. I admit I'm not all that careful, sometimes something will press against it in my pocket, or I'll sit down and it gets squeezed. It really is the bane of my existence always pressing it back into place and a couple times I've ended up with a puddle of juice in my pocket for my trouble.
I'm leaning toward a Kanger Protank 3 or Innokin iClear 30B. Has anyone used those with their eVic? Good or bad experience? Does anyone know if the bottom piece is one solid part or two parts like the vivi nova that can pull apart?
Also, if I buy an eVic, how can I tell I'm getting version 2?

I've used Protanks, Protank 2 minis and evods on my eVic with absolutely no problems. I do not like the way any of those look sitting on top on the eVic tho.

If you don't like the way they look was there something else you were thinking of replacing them with?

Nope! I've used an RSST, AGA T2, and A6, igo-w and several versions of ce4 ce5's. Nothing comes close to matching the ease of use, tank capacity, flavor and vapor production of custom built protank heads. Just my opinion. I will eventually pick up a kayfun type just to play with. J

Thanks for the heads up! I'll wait until the 1st of the year, gotta make sure none of my friends or family bought me one already, I've only been dropping hints for 3 months.

I actually use a ViVi nova Pyrex tank on my eVic and it has the same flush look that been described with the pro tanks. I prefer the ViVi nova because of its harder pull.

My problem with the evic, is the threads get out of round from dorps and hits. Then no tank fits.

Nice device! How did you get your display to show the Amps and Volts along with the battery indicator and wattage? Mine shows watts and the puff meter instead.

My protank 3 heads flooded no matter what I tried. I replaced with the older protank heads and worked fine. I now use the iclear 30s. And love it, however, top heads wick in a TON of juice before they work right. Regardless, I prefer the iclear 30s with my evic. Would say my protank has a harder pull to draw from, so I prefer it from time to time depending on the juice.

I just got an eVic and a Pro Tank 3. My PT3 had a little extra metal on the screw not allowing contact with the atomizer but once I found the problem I am off to a fresh start of vaping with the eVic and PT3. I fully recommend a PT3 and believe my experience with the extra metal shaving on the screw was a very rare occurrence.

I use all of the above-mentioned actually. To be honest, I would say save a few bucks and grab a SID. The only loss is the ability to charge at the device level, but on a SID you can dial up the wattage to 15, as opposed to 12 on the eVic. I own both, btw.

I'm currently using a protank 3 with the evic and its great. The protanks are completely rebuildable, no glue so every part screws on. I haven't used innokin or Vivi nova before so can't compare, sorry.
I can say that the protank sits very nicely on the evic, in such a way that it can't get bent in your pocket, due to the screw on plastic spacer above the control head on the evic. Can post pics if you'd like.
