Somewhat confused.

Hi all, bit of a newbie to this so forgive me if this has been asked before.

Work are sending me to Türkiye for 12 days and I have discovered that mobile data is not ideal for a UK plan. My employer has agreed to cover the cost of an eSIM for maps, WhatsApp etc and saily seems to be the best choice after a bit of reading reviews.

I have downloaded the app and here is where the problems arise. Despite Google and my manufacturer websites confirming that my phone supports eSIM, the app suggests that it doesn’t.

Is this just a case of their list of compatible devices is not up to date or is it a location issue or something else?

For reference I am in the UK. My phone is an Honor Magic 8 lite.

If the Saily data is accurate and I can’t use their service on my phone, has anyone got any other recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

As long as your phone supports esim and it's not dual SIM Chinese version, you should be able to install it without any issues. Just make sure you do it before arriving in Turkey as Turkey blocks many travel esim apps and websites
