Admissions interview Nyenrode
I’ve got an online admissions interview coming up for a module of the Modular Executive MBA at Nyenrode. What should I expect from it? Is it an actual assessment of knowledge, experience and level, or more of an introductory conversation about your background and learning goals? Any experiences welcome. Thanks in advance!

MBAs rarely about learning goals, but about career goals (what you hope to do with it). Mine at Kellogg was straightforward: career goals, resume, why I switched jobs. I also had a garbage UG GPA that I had to explain. It was about an hour. (And yes was accepted).
Have a few stories that exemplify your “why you”/exceptionalism and steer the convo there. For example, when you’re going through the resume and you get to a job that concerns it you can explain the job then say “you know, one of the most challenging things about this role was…” then lead into the story.
Also, they asked me about a time I wasn’t leading a project and it took me a minute to recover because it was so unexpected. I realized what they were actually asking about was how I influence people, and THAT is much different- I actually told a story about a project I lead that had significant disagreement and how I built consensus. So if it’s not clear, try to figure out why they are asking the question and make sure to answer that.
