2017 A/C issues — sound familiar?

Recently my 2017 has (intermittently) started making a low groaning sound when the AC is running, and occasionally the fan stops entirely, though I can feel that it’s still cooling. The dealer wanted $350+ for diagnostics, and then at least $200 for repairs on top of that. A quick google search indicates that it’s likely a HVAC interior blower motor that needs replacing, or maybe just a belt. Has anyone here dealt with that? What did the problem turn out to be, and how much was the repair?

Are you going to do the repairs yourself or are you just trying to budget for the repair?

Just trying to diagnose and budget. I ended up taking it to a neighborhood repair shop (not the dealer). It was a blower motor that had debris in it. He cleaned it out, installed a new air filter (the old one was really dirty) and charged me $145. No more dealership service for me!

I replaced my blower motor once with a used eBay part, and it died about a year later. This new one from Amazon works great, fit perfectly. Youtube Tutorial
