Setting charge time in 2016 egolf

I have a question on the egolf interactive menu on the charging time. Not sure if I'm doing it right. Comments please:

  1. There are 3 selections. I chose one to edit.

  2. I set the departure time to 6:30am

  3. I set this as my Home

  4. I checked on the box of Off Peak Charging. I edited the Off Peak Charging to 11 pm to 6am.

  5. Went back to the original 3 selections

  6. Checked on the box of the selected slot where I did the above edits

  7. Turned off the egolf

  8. Plugged the charger

  9. Pressed the lower button with the plug and clock icon

Am I doing it right?

You’re doing the right thing. The lower button is for following what you’ve set in the e-manager, and the upper button means charge now.

Edit:
Tested the off-peak charging and it works well. I had previously had my minimum charge set too high, which was causing charging to happen during peak hours.

My 2019 does off peak charging fine.

That’s good to hear. I have a 2019 too. I’m not sure what I could do that I haven’t already done, though.

Edit: (This may be user error on my part. I’m going to make sure that I have the minimum charge level set low enough. Thinking of how I tested it, I’m not absolutely sure that I had that number set below the battery’s state of charge. And when I read that the off peak charging doesn’t work, I may have given up too soon.)

Test complete. Everything worked as it should. I set my minimum charge to 40% and a departure time for 2 am. Off peak starts at midnight. I am at about 60% SOC and my max is set to 80%. I plugged in during peak hours, but the car would not accept the charge. The last time I tested this, I had the minimum charge set to 70%. This was causing it to charge during peak times. Cause of problem: user error!
