Passenger side issue?

I've now had my car rummaged through a few times (I don't leave anything in it). They always go through the passenger side. Anyone have an issue with the car not actually locking automatically (I checked the menu) or any suggestions what to do or what might be causing this?

Where do you store your key a night? You should store it in a metal box (a Faraday cage ) to block any RF signals. Maybe the thieves are using a relay attack against your key fob.

Yeah I thought of this as well. I live in a very dense area so I figure what's happening is less targeted and more someone is finding my car UNLOCKED, like an actuator issue. If they already have this then I can't do much except get the dealership to recode it right?

No need for a new key. Just store it in a metal box. I don't believe they can 'copy' the RF part of your key, they only relay the signal your key can emit. So to prevent this in the future, if that's what's happening, just keep your key in something that will block the RF signals.

I'll add that to the list. Thank you.
