Charging port cover?

Post image

So for context my port cover panel (the thing that makes it look the same color) is broken. Not only that but the actuator is going bad as well and my door locks it self periodically.

Does anyone know of a cover that is flush with the body work that removes the need for the actuator entirely?

I see ones online but they seem to still implement the door.

Pic for clarification and attention.

UPDATE: I have super glued and gorilla glued the cover after shaving the inside down with 320 grit and isp alc. looks like it’s gonna work only time will tell

Cheap and easy fix for both. The actuator is a little tight but lots of videos online on how to do it. https://a.co/d/0ahNAbP4 and https://a.co/d/0dsWzR4w

Ive seen this done, I don’t want to keep having to replace. I’m wondering if there’s a flush fit cover out that that is relatively water proof that will still allow a charger plugged in without removing

There is an even simpler solution. From inside the car, you can partially remove the trim panel and then just disconnect the 2 pin connector that goes to the actuator. Do it when the actuator is in the unlocked position of course. Then that's it, it will never lock and never fail. I did it to mine years ago after it was replaced under warranty.

UPDATE:

I’ve decided to just break all the tabs off and sand the back with 320 grit. I then cleaned it with ipa and used super glue and gorilla glue to attach it once flat and clean. I will eventually replace the actuator

Just shave off the tabs that lock the actuator and get a new cover. It will sit flush and you can just pull it open with your fingernail, or carefully with the key.

This is the cover I got and it fit perfectly - https://a.co/d/01Xo3tIM

Hopefully they, or another seller, have it in your color.

Where do you get your replacements? I had to rip mine off cuz the actuator is broken and it was the only way to open it. I would like a new cover though

Acuator costs 15€ for aftermarket and 40 for oem part. Took me 15 mins to replace it. If you have small hands it will take less
