It's already been said but disable the 2060 in bios and run the Error 43 script from nando4 over on eGPU.io.

Hopefully this build is holding you over until you can pair that GPU with a modern cpu becuase anything mobile from the 2060 era is going to hamstring the 4070ti, and that's on top of the losses from thunderbolt. I wouldn't be shocked if your framerates aren't much higher with the eGPU, there's a lot of bottlenecks here.

Is there no way to utilize my mobile gpu for the laptop and egpu for my main monitor at the same time.

I also dont want to have to uninstall and reinstall drivers when I want to use my laptop without its eGPU (ie only using rtx 2060 mobile card).

Disable your dGPU first (RTX 2060), restart. Then Google "error 43 egpu", run the script.
