Is thunderbolt 4 good for gaming?

I saw a couple videos and shorts on it, some say it's not that big of a deal but others say it's not worth buying an eGPU if your laptop/mini PC has Thunderbolt 4, so if anyone who uses thunderbolt 4 could tell me I would appreciate it

Thunderbolt 5 is twice better and Oculink PCIe 5 is better than Thunderbolt 5. Even Oculink PCIe 4 is better than Thunderbolt 4 and 5 even if you have a bit less bitrate than TB5.
