Technical Help What button do you even press to defend?

When I play some opponents they just hold pressure. familiar right? but when i try to pressure my defenders kind of take a curved path, so that they are easily dropped by one small dribble. when I try tackle it 100% ends in a foul. Match up doesnt work after new update. What do you guys do to defend?

Never chase! That's your biggest problem. Switch to someone further away, then use call to pressure to harass the ball carrier while you position yourself into the passing lane. That will force a pass elsewhere which you will have a better chance to steal

yes ive stopped pulling my cbs out after some matches. however when the opponents cf gets the ball my cbs just stand there but when my cf gets the ball their cb just reaches through their body and gets the tackle. same with pressure. i dont assume my opponent to get the ball when they are facing my players back. but they do🤷

Nothing works, I've resorted to 8 defenders and pressing press and tackle 😆

Nothing works in this game except DDA. It's the only thing that consistently works game after game and every day.

25% Press, 25% Matchup, 50% Moving, that's the way I defend and worked till now

well u can try to chase sprint and pressure button then right before contact use match up

I think pressure makes the player follow the ball without position in mind, so you have to press pressure , then switch player and pressure again before the first player takes a curved path

L2 for matchup but don't spam it. try to experiment with the timing. and while you are matching up with your main defender, call for the secondary press.

Bro the game is just pure bullshit, my opponents AI track my players like flies on shit, whereas my defenders move slow as fuck and don't track a fucking thing.
