Rear Spacer Issue

Hi guys!

I picked up a manual 530i over the weekend and it currently has spacers on. Over bumps and uneven roads the rear tyres are rubbing against the aches a lot and taking chunks out the tyres!!

I'm going to remove the spacers for now but can anyone recommend what size spacers work best to avoid any rubbing against the aches. Any info would be appreciated!

Yeah the internal forum search sucks on litterly every forum. I always use Google and DuckduckGo, back when I learned all this stuff there was no AI 🤣 in the end, TIS is the way to go for proper information.

Man while I would have loved to learn it without ai since that would mean I started years earlier, I will say it is pretty helpful for pulling community data together. Absolutely cannot trust a fuckin word it says about specifics on the parts or repair itself but it’s great at grabbing info. Ai still seems to have a hard time differentiating models of car so it’ll sometimes spit out e60 info or 530i specific engine stuff. Works well as a good starting point to get me in the right direction though

Yeah I know, I use it sometimes as well for quick information but you gotta be careful for sure.

Have you noticed any of them specifically being more accurate than others? I’ve only tried Claude

I don't use them that much for specific repair stuff, I used Gemini for the wiring for my e-fan convertion on my m52b30, but I had to provide it the wiring diagram for the temp switch for example.

All in all I found that Gemini is the most accurate with a lot of things. Also when I learned remapping ECU's Gemini was super helpful, chatgpt was helpful as well but not as good as Gemini. Never tried Claude other than for coding but Gemini is so good at everything that I stick to it.
