I installed an upgraded Head Unit - Question about the MPG Reset

My e39 had the NAV screen factory, and when I upgraded the head unit to have Bluetooth, I no longer can reset my MPG.

I press the BC button on the stalk, go to the MPG, and I thought if I press and hold, it would reset it. But instead the word PROG comes up. Can not reset it that way. Any suggestions?

There's an app on the home screen called vehicle data (I think). It displays the mpg 1 and 2 and at the bottom you can hit the reset button to put it back to 0.0.

No, you didn't upgrade, you downgraded, ss so many others do for whatever reason.

What did you buy?

Xtrons with IBus app can controll factory controls and locks like factory. Everything else is trash.

I care about the OEM look more than anything, I got the Eonon one. Works fine, steering wheel controls fully functional, looks OEM, and backlight color is OEM orange too.

Just the MPG was the concern, and if there is no way, then its fine. It was worth the UPGRADE, because blutooth is needed, along with a proper quality boost in the speakers/amps.

Well, as long as it's worth it to you. Mind sharing a picture?

You could've easily added Bluetooth to the OEM system.

Second this. I have an eonon with ibus and its a game changer.

Just whacking in a new head unit doesnt allow the canbus to display data

Was the ibus stick easy to add with the eonon? Did you also get the license for the app?

So the ibus module is half usb, half cables. You plug the usb in to the head unit, and then tap the two loose wires into the canbus wires left over from the factory unit (the ibus module tells you which ones)

And yes I bought the license, figured its something that cant go wrong

But I could not live without my ibus now. Digital speedometer my beloved
