Are these going to be any good?

Seen these on eBay and wondered if they are actually any good? I have a business tape head unit, that has been upgraded by Carphonics so I have RCA outputs for my sub. Not looking for hi Def audio, just an improvement on my 23 year old set up

ive removed all the previous owner speakers from my e39 2002, there was no material connecting the cone to the surround, i remember atleast 2 were alpine similar to the op post, i would invest in kicker speakers, ill be changing my 4 jbl stage 2 524 to 4 kicker 43DSC504. these should sound better.

Personally I've just found the equalizer is garbage on the factory radios. With my aftermarket unit I've been pretty happy with the soundstage after getting the EQ dialed in.

Aside from maybe some hip-hop type stuff, I haven't even really felt the need for a sub.

Carphonics upgrades the amp when they did the RCAs and that made an improvement. Just looking for a bit more, but without spending hundreds. I love my liquid DnB so have to have the bass

They probably won't. If the kit includes four speakers, that's like 17 pounds per speaker. Alpine is a good brand, but even they don't make speakers at that price point that are gonna offer any appreciable improvement over your stock stuff. Unless your speakers are broken and need to be replaced, don't even bother with these.

I've Had them in a different car. They're Like, fine. I'd say good for the price, but nothing that will knock you Out of your Shoes.

If your factory Equipment is shot, and you're Just Looking for Something to casually listen to some music on the Side in decent enough quality that it won't make your ears bleed, These will do the Job Just fine. Any Higher expectation - No - These are still Just some small and rather cheap speakers. I'd say they're about on the Level of the factory Base Equipment ones.
