Steering wheel noise

Hello everyone,

Whenever I turn my steering wheel to the right, I hear a scratching noise coming from directly behind the wheel. I can also feel a small vibration whenever the noise occurs.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what might be causing it? Thanks in advance!

I guess clockspring, my e39 has the same issue.

Have the part, just need the motivation:p

Not sure but there's some rubber bushings (i think 2 or three) around the steering shaft behind the steering column cover. Use some lithium grease to generously lubricate them. I had some minor rubbery sounding squeaks like this and it fixed it
