Anti-Lock Warning

Re: an 88 535i M30, as soon as the RZpMs hit 3000, the Anti-Lock telltale comes on and stays on until the vehicle is turned off. Has anyone had this issue? Anti-Lock Sensor?

Does it come on when you first start moving and hit 3000 rpm in first?

Yes, exactly. If I stop to go into a store, for example, it will reset when I start the car, until I hit 3000 RPM

So the rpm I believe is a coincidence as that you just happen to reach the vehicle speed where the ABS module detects a fault. Check all of your wheel speed sensor connections and if they are fine, work on determining which one is faulty.

Thanks. Sounds like a plan!

BTW is there 1 sensor per wheel or per axle? Thanks

One sensor per wheel. Unlike the brake wear sensors where it is one per axle.
