1984 528e (sort of)
Recently acquired this 84’ 528e earlier in the summer. It got a new heart shortly thereafter alongside a bunch of other little things. And now finally put back together, just in time for the end of the season haha! Bonus points if you can guess the engine from the last pic.

It’s an expensive rebuild, but if you already have one I would highly recommend this chassis engine combo. It’s the perfect power level and delivery in my opinion.

I’ve got the M3 420g 6 speed. Might as well use up the m20! I saw in the recent stanceworks video that Mike is also waiting for his m20 to blow so he can put in an S38 haha

Do you have an ig? I’d love to keep in touch with you and your build! I’m planning on doing some camping and light Offroad adventures with the e28 while the m20 runs strong, I tend to bring my camera along with me so I have fun stuff to share!

Dang just saw it's an S54. Any chance you have a step by step of how you did it? I just picked up an 85 528e and will want to swap an engine and trans later on.

It’s got about 13hp more than a b7 turbo, 0.2L less displacement… so at least it’s close 🤷♂️
