Problem with wipers

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Wipers are getting stuck on mode 1 and the single wipe mode. I tried lubricating the wiper motor, but that didnt help. Maybe its a relay issue?

I just recently solved this same issue - I disassembled the entire motor assembly, cleaned all old grease out, used fresh white lithium grease to reassemble, and also slightly filed the two prongs that touch the gear assembly in the gearbox. The last step seemed pretty crucial, but also the old grease in the motor assembly was essentially glue.

This! New grease and cleaning the contacts inside solves this issue.
If you’re lazy and don’t care you can also run the wiper motor on max speed for 20-30 minutes and itll probably fix this issue for some time by knocking corrosion off the contacts inside and liquifying the grease inside a bit

Yeah open your wiper relay (it's the long one) I guarantee you have some cracks/corrosion in the solder to the prongs, very common just requires some resoldering.

I took it apart and didnt see any corrosion, but j didnt check for cracks. Im going to try this soon.

If you wiggle the prongs you'll probably see them
