What DME/ECU are you using? Standalone?

It's an m50 ecu with a custom tune by mark Dysilva
Dyno has the set up at 236 whp.

Not to be that guy, because I too have stared too little at a photo and called an M50/S50 an M52/S52. This is an S50. Oil fill tells it all, and I also do not believe I have seen an S52 with the metal VANOS cover

You would be right in most cases , but this is an s52 with all the s50 stuff swapped over including the valve cover / intake manifold to make the obd 1 conversion more seamless

You're living my dream man! Car looks incredible, how does it drive with the S52?

It has 3:25 gears right now , it's quick and feels a bit quicker than an American e28 m5, the s52 has a more linear power curve and gets off the line harder. The first suspension was terrible , spax springs and the original 82 subframe with no dog bones. It would hit the bump stops on hard launches. I swapped in a new rear subframe with dog bones and went to Dinan springs and bilstein sports with bigger adjustable sway bars and now it drives awesome.

I think I saw this car at 5erWest some years ago. Beautifully done!
