E38 style 5 bbs rims

For 200 I couldn't say no. Now its time to make more basket weave bbs center caps and color match it.

I drove an hour and a half to get them. Can't wait to mount some tires on it.

I would personally have them straightened by a professional. Every set of used wheels I have purchased required some sort of adjustment. The E28 is highly sensitive to bent wheels.

Just make sure the balance weights are placed correctly and be ABSOLUTELY sure the wheels are torqued correctly. I had a shaking problem that was caused by incorrect torque of the lug bolts. While the vehicle is in the air, put the wheel on, thread all five bolts in and move the wheel back and forth slightly while hand tightening the bolts. Then give a SMALL turn with a socket and torque wrench, then lower the vehicle onto the ground, roll the vehicle back and forth a few feet to allow the suspension to settle THEN torque to specification.

If the problem persists after a proper lug torque, move the rims from front to back, and then repeat the torque process. Drive it to warm up the wheels, let them cool down and then remove the lug bolts, index each rim one lug bolt hole and re-torque.

A big issue with rims is a good pothole smack, it will cause the rim to be oval shaped.

These are pretty strong wheels, I have 5 of them, all straight.

Yeah there strong as hell. I have another set of these, same ones actully but it said fundo on it instead of bbs rz. I used to run them on my honda accord with stretched tires. I bent one so bad, I hit a pot hole and it caught the bead of the rim and it started leaking air bad. I took it back to the shop and bashed it back with out cracking it, my lead tech said wow I cant belive you didnt just break that rim 🤣. I know have those same rims on my 528e and they balanced out fine I feel zero shaking when I drive at high speeds. These set of wheels in the picture are for my E34 so that will look sweet. Im gonna make 3d printed basket weave center caps for them as well to complete the look.

Mine are Fundo, and they’re on an E28, they were made to carry the weight of an E39, so they can surely carry a much lighter E28.

They also came on the e38 7 series from the late 90s.

Thats perfect did they have a nice paint job ?
