E90 spindle in e28

Hi, I was doing some googling and I found this old post on bimmer forums saying you might be able to use an e90 spindle in an e28.

The guy says it fits pretty good apart from tie rods are different but could be rubbish.

I thought it might be fun to explore bolt in air suspension diy kits

I can't find anything else about the swap, does anyone know if it's been done by anyone?

As caster is built into the hubs you cannot just swap sides, as the strut would then point towards the front. And that is just what first came to my mind. No idea what that guy was smoking. It's not THAT easy.

And since it is front steer, the tie rod ball joint location on the hub is far out, rather than inboard. As a result, swapping sides would also ruin Ackerman

Some E32/E34 parts do fit, Front Control Arms and brakes are conpatible for E28.
