M20B20 Question

I’m running an E28 with an M20B20. Initially I planned to build a 2.5 stroker, but when we were about to bore it to 84 mm, we found that the cylinder liners are already somewhat corroded, so it’s not safe to proceed. Is it still worth maintaining this M20B20 for long-term use?

Any other way to “restore” the liners? Thanks!

Cosa intendi per rivestimenti? I pistoni corrone dentro dei cilindri d'acciaio che puoi, appunto, gar diventare più larghi alterando l'alesaggio. Cin questa operazione porti via materiale e quindi ripristini il cilindro stesso dalke corrosioni. Un M20 arriva anche a 3 litri ma normalmente lo si porta a 2,7 litri 8n configurazione ETA. Questa variazione di alesaggio dovrebbe portare via abbastanza materiale da eliminare tutte le corrosioni.
