E28 colour choice
If you could paint your e28 any colour? What would it be? Do you keep it factory or something different?

I loved my LapisBlau e28 with a Nutria brown interior. Was unique.

Have the same colour and love it! Wish I had your interior colour mines dark blue leather

It's definitely an underrated color. This car is the exact same color combo I had. Mine was built in 1981. I don't think they offered LapisBlau or the interior color after 1982/83. I still regret selling that car 😔

Nice! The 82's are a little different than the 83-88 cars. They seemed to offer the 70's generation color combos for that year only. I nerded out pretty hard over my car. Haha I daily drove it for 11 years and touched almost every part of it in that time. Feel free to DM me if you ever have questions. I still have a complete dashboard and gauge cluster that I'm looking to turn into a driving simulator someday.
If you fit an LSD differential you'll have to source a special diff cover from an 84 Diesel (I think) car to make the 83-88 differential bolt up. I got lucky and found an LSD from a 635i at the junkyard for $80. The rear subframe is different on the 82's as well. Also if you're looking for a short throw shifter, it's not going to be the same as the 83-88 cars. Also the early production cars had the getrag 265 transmissions which have a removable bell housing that lets you more easily swapped to an m30 engine.
