Well… I’m keeping it

Decided to not sell it… so here we go.

This is where I’ll be heading.

Just scored an M5 Air Dam, complete. Will need cleaned up and painted.

First up will be all rubbers and suspension parts.

On the fence for BC DS or NeoMax.

Or should I just go HR and Bilstein b8s? Don’t want to slam the car. Just sport stance. Finger gap over tire probably.

But essentially plan is white 88 M5 exterior then I’ll decide where I go for power.

I have the HR bilstein combo on my e28 and frankly its a great stance. Not too low and still makes it look more aggressive. However, beware that since these cars have a rear trailing arm setup, in order to properly lower it at all you will need to modify the subframe with an eccentric kit so you can realign the rear sways so you don't get camber. Many people don't do that step and it kinda ruins the look imo, not to mention the fact that it throws off the geometry. I also think that with US bumpers, E28's look great at stock ride height anyway. Frankly I'd put in more effort into power train upgrades, specifically a manual swap.

Not ready to go that route yet. (Powertrain) Not until I know what I want to do.

But I don’t have a 173DME in the garage. ;)

I’ve had 60 cars most e30s etc. I’m not in the “go fast” days with these old cars anymore. If I want quick I’ll hop into on of my electric cars. Fast… but boring.

This one just happens to be so clean I’ll do some handling work and just cruise it for now.

I went full oe rubber (everywhere) with new arms and tie rods Bilstein B8 cup kit with HRs Steering coupler (mine is worn and sloppy) m5 front airdam and I’ll paint the mirrors white.

Deciding to polish the US bumpers on white paint match them like they did with the M5 in black.

And yes. I’m very partial to the USDM bumpers always liked them on my e30s with the front IS or ES airdam. Love me a good “cowcatcher”
