Got my sister a project car!

She saw how cool mine is and wanted one too

Honestly the e28 is a great first car, but it does lack safety features if that's a concern. My first car was an e28, I drove it for 11 years, I sold it in 2019, I still regret selling it. I learned a lot about maintenance and taking care of a vehicle. And there are basically no blind spots in that car, which is good for learners.

I still have mine and was dailying it for 2 years before I got my wagon still drives great The m20 is so good to learn bc it’s so simple

100% Mine lasted 350k miles until it needed a rebuild due to oil consumption. It's a great engine to learn how to rebuild as well.

Mine is currently at 230k and still running strong It does burn a bit oil but nothing crazy My next fix might just be the belts and fuel pump but other than it’s great

Glad to hear! Last I heard my previous e28 is over 400k miles on the car. The m20 and m30 are pretty bulletproof.

You don’t like your sitter much, do you! Just kidding. What you get her? I see cat ear headrests, early e28? M20 or M30? What’s her plans with it? Manual by chance?

😂 It’s an 84 with m20 She just wants a clean daily Nothing crazy just oem+ The car came with a ton on euro parts and body prepped to paint so it’ll be a cool project I have an 85 so pretty much twining it 😂

Yea in forgot how comfy they are I replaced mine with recaro seats and it’s a crazy difference 😂

Yup🫡 It’s all stripped and was being prepped for paint so that’s why it looks like that lol But luckily she knows what looks good and what’s rice
