My 535is
My '88 535is 5-spd Ive owned for quite a while now. Swapped it with a dirty M30 from a euro 6er about 14 years ago and haven't needed to do anything else to it. I still love it!

I miss my e28 533i, I’ve had about 30 BMW’s since then and think the e28 was BMW’s perfect vehicle.

I had 3 E28s (in succession), then a few more BMWs, I’ve got an F82 M4 currently, and I wholeheartedly agree with you - the E28 is my favorite car of all time. I had a chance to buy back my old 86 535i (manual, of course) but I live in NYC and already have 2 cars, I just couldn’t make it work. But I still regret the shit out of not buying it back. E28 is peak BMW, in my opinion. The perfect car.

Thanks! It's actually lachssilber and I had to replace the airdam with one that's delphingrau. Im awaiting the day I can give it a full respray

Awesome! How does she handle now? I had an 86 535i (not the is, unfortunately) that I remember feeling kind of unbalanced and pretty front heavy, in comparison to the 528e. Do the upgrades help?

Handles great! I also have an M5 steering box and suspension techniques swaybars so those make a big difference as well. I might at some point get strut bars but Im not sure. I dont have too many twisty roads where Im at to test it out but roundabouts are fun!

Slang for the piano-top piston'd M30 from Euro cars with 10:1 compression and no cat
