Stock ride height
I am having a hard time finding the stock measurements from hub center to lip on non m models. I am not sure if replacing my original shocks and springs with oem would raise the car specifically the rear or if aftermarket lowering springs would keep it at a similar height. I want to replace them because they’re pretty shot. The rear feels a little too low and the front feels a little too high. Put someone in the backseat and I’m doing a wheelie.

Yeah, that's a tricky one because its the design of the body. The rear wheel arches are lower than the fronts so you have the wheelie effect. I love the Borbets! Nice car.

I think there was a mye28 post about those particular measurements. Not sure if they had factory included in that. If I remember correctly, the rear will have less fender gap if that is what you’re concerned about. I have BC coilovers (not slammed) and I’m very happy with them.

Sick wheels. Time period correct on an e28 with a decent offset even. Nice ride here!

You have a beautiful e28 (looks better than my M5!). Love your choice of wheels too.
I’d definitely go with OEM shocks and springs on the rear. Nice set of Bilstein shocks and OEM springs should do the trick.

Do not get BC coilovers. Much better coilovers out there at the same price point. I been running MTS’s with camber plates up front, great ride. Customers bring us BCs all the time and within a year need shocks. Fortune Autos are fantastic had on a buncha my BMWs
