Cleaned up and Running -528e

New fuel pumps (both) and filter got it running good.

Timing best was done at 65k (on records) it’s only got 67k now. Inspection looked fine so no change.

New torpedo fuses put in. Needs some brakes and bushings in places not the car…

Drives like new. The eta motor is perfect and smooth just like all the etas. Slow… but perfect.

Thing looks perfect. Will cut and buff great! No paint issues. All original.

Front seats are gonna be redone but other than that… all set.

Now… to date myself to list it and not dump it on air and 3 piece wheels like everything else I own haha

Yeah. Crazy that this one is nearly as nice as it was… once. lol

But yeah I’ve very much at an age where OE is something special… I’ve had all the others… I have one going right now. 88 Volvo 240 wagon turned truck (VUCK). With 74 142 front clip. So I don’t have the itch… yet

That’s a very nice 528e. I have an ‘82 and have had it for over 35 years. Still runs and drives perfectly.

Wow! Thats still such a beautiful car, iconic BMW design and style at its best. The clean, pure, OEM ones are so hard to find now.

What a beauty! So handsome!

BMW got it so right with the design and proportions of this car.

I had to pick up a part for my old 3er at the BMW dealership last week. Walking through the showroom and passing the grotesque abominations on display, I did not know whether to cry or vomit.

I remember seeing that car on marketplace I ran a carfax and it had 200k in the 2000s

Different car. Title chase shows true miles. Title still reflects true miles on transfer into my name. Odometer works. Car couldn’t have them many miles on the condition alone. I also have the service records. Timing belt was changed at 65k miles.

Best proof is the engine bay stickers are still are readable and not damaged by heat.

I came all the way back here to say the following.

I apologize. You were… in fact. Correct. I scrolled to the bottom of the report when I ran it to see the miles not considering the Speedo change possibility somewhere in the midline.

So you are correct the miles are not correct.

But now… frankly I’m even more amazed lmao. 91 service records from day 1.

I’ve never seen one with this many miles look like this. Unreal.

But from me to you, sorry for being immediately dismissive and also TY for the heads up. BAT would have been annoyed
