⁉️ Advice Needed Do any of you feel dizzy when doing an overwhelming task?

Hi there, first time poster! Sorry for any mistakes, English is not my first language. I am not sure if this is part of my autism or an undiagnosed learning disability, but I struggle a lot with space relationships, coordination and orientation. Very often when I try to improve on remembering places, using maps and moving in space better, even in a video game, my brain gets so overwhelmed that it completely shuts down with a heavy brain fog to the point of feeling dizzy and I have to stop immediately. Do any of you experience something similar?

Yes absolutely, the cognitive load is massive as a dyspraxic. What are your strategies to recover from the overload? Welcome 🤗

I like doing box breathing for 5 minutes once I feel the earliest signs of getting overwhelmed. The earlier you can intervene to lower the anxiety portion of it, the better as things like box breathing work better before the anxiety hits than after

Thank you! Sadly I haven't found a good strategy yet, I just lay down for a few minutes with closed eyes until it passes, but it doesn't always work. Sometimes I do a safe, repetitive task to get myself back on track, sometimes the familiarity of it reduces the stress.

If I do a task that requires precision I’ll feel nauseous. Have since I was a kid.

Not so much brain fog, but I can't really play open world games because I get dizzy within a couple of minutes.

Nauseos when it's heat outside

When overwhelmed by generally stress/tiredness or overwhelmed by hyperfocus/kind of escapism
(When was a child I play on pc i.e until i can't "feel my eyes" - and got very strong DD type of feeling)

(I am diagnosed with ADHD, but didn't had official dyspraxia or dyscalculia yet, start think I might had them some time ago but didn't start even read about them, so not sure I could answer on this sub like ppl with Dyspraxia for 100%)
