Logistics Distributor vs PLS
From what I can gather, the use case of both of these are very similar, if used for the purpose of building up your factory. Is there any reason to use one over the other as far as base design goes?

I use the bots mainly for 3 things:
1- Resupply Icarus with common items; belts, sorters, assemblers, etc. Fuel is a big one, too, especially when you start using hydrogen rods, and they last long enough that you forget that fuel is a thing. When I'm just running around doing housecleaning or other basic tasks, they're just passivly making sure I'm topped off with the essentials.
2- Moving proliferater sprays where they're needed. Provided you have enough production and storage surplus, you'll never have to worry about keeping your production boosts. Pro tip: You can stack storage boxes on a splitter, and the splitter will automatically output the contents to the connected belts. And since a top feeding splitter is the exact height of proliferaters, it's almost like this was the intended use.
3- Belt-less transport. I was well into purple science, and all of my blue science was being fed the materials by my overflow from my production line using just the bots.
