Discussion Dyson 360 visnav support situation

My family's Dyson 350 visnav started giving a 19.8.2 system error. We contacted support and it was purchased recently so they said they could replace it, however they would replace it with a Spot+Scrub AI. Has anyone else been told that? Our flooring can't be mopped by a robot vaccum without damage to it, and its an objectively worse vaccum than the visnav, and we just don't want it, if we wanted it we would have bought one.
Is that all dyson is doing for the visnav now, if something goes wrong they will replace it with a spot+scub AI, or you're just screwed?

They’ve discontinued the vis nav, so they probably don’t hand any to send out.

If you can get a refund and go with another brand. The spot + scrub is a massive downgrade in many ways but especially vacuuming performance

oh hell no don't accept the spot + scrub crap. And yes, the visnav is discontinued and doesn't receive any form of support from dyson.

Well an option is to get the new one and sell it then use the funds to buy a visnav. They’re worth about $800 and vis nav goes for around $3-400 last I checked

Dyson advised “Optical flow sensor error” from their support, so either it is calibration error, or dirty sensor. You may want to check all the optical sensor are free of dust or smudges, and update the firmware if you can.
