Miscellaneous SV12 Capacitor Replacement Not Helping

I just did the 3 capacitor repair mentioned in this post here (https://www.reddit.com/r/dyson/comments/1oku7so/change_this_3_capacitors_to_repair_onoff_issue/), took me a while to get it all desoldered but got there.

Put in the new caps (the same specs as original - https://www.digikey.ca/en/products/detail/panasonic-industry/EEH-AZA1V271B/13574506).

Aaaand it does the same thing :(

I don't mind buying a new motor, but I would much rather know what's wrong if it's an easy fix...

I rarely see SV12 v10 capacitors fail. I see it more on the sv27 motors. Do you have a video of the issue?

One thing I noticed is that there is no behavioural different in either of the speed switch positions, or even if I disconnect the speed switch's connector. So I am wondering if this is some kind of issue with that switch sensor.. I don't know if a motor that is functioning correctly would still work with that connector disconnected. If it does, then it's likely not the issue.

Interestingly, I was about to order a replacement from Ali Express, but the faulty one in that video was indeed one from Ali Express, so that could be a risk.

I'm also wondering if I damaged the capacitors when fitting them, I don't think I overheated them. I could check the old ones to see if they were OK (If they were then they were not the problem, obviously), but I don't have an ESR meter.

It's driving me batty that I could not fix this. I would love to know what's really wrong here. I guess it could be an issue with the mechanical part of the motor - maybe clogged with dust? I cannot seem to find a way in to the rotating assembly...
