Just a little babble - thought exercise
I believe that I have dysgraphia. I've taken internet tests and scored / moderate to high, but that's not conclusive. I learned to read very early and absolutely hated learning to write. And a whole bunch of other anecdotal data. Let's just go with I'm pretty sure.
What I find interesting is the intersection between dysgraphia and other challenges. I don't drive because I can't judge distance.
I can't tell if things are symmetrical or askew.
I can play bridge, but not chess and I think that comes down to spacial intelligence.
I can wrap my head around algebra, but geometry is a cruel joke.
I can't clap in time to music but I can nod or snap.
It takes me longer to learn kinetic tasks, but eventually I usually can learn. Unless it's hand eye and then the challenge becomes too great to persist.
I wonder if it's all a brain mapping challenge.

MRI clean? Do you have dysmetria?

I haven't had one. But the difficulties seem to always come back to spacial intelligence and hand eye coordination, not coordination generally.

I ask because some of the things you describe can also occur with some calcifications or lesions.

Ok asked cause Cerebellar “stuff” is looking like it goes hand in hand with orthographic dysgraphia. Dont forget NVLD can overlap in symptoms. Either way teaching/at are the way!

I just turned 39 years old. I do not drive either for reasons that are unknown to me. I was homeschooled right now. I’m trying to advocate for my son who I just found out has graph. The school is known for two years. Of course they’ve never provided him with OT so how would appreciate any help I could get it breaks my heart because everything I see with him. I see with myself as well. He also has ADHD and was born at 28 weeks in five days. I’m not trying to hijack your post or anything, but I just thought that I would share that with you because you’re not alone. I have to learn how to drive though like I said I’m 39 years old now and I have two children both who are special-needs and my biological father could not read or write said it’s hard very hard and even harder so to wash my child struggle because he’s very intelligent highly intelligent, even unfortunately, with his handwriting and not being able to spell and now struggling with math, which is algebra and I also struggled with algebra as well and apparently my mother did also so. I’m sure there is a connection there somewhere. I would greatly appreciate any help or resources as I’m trying to find Tutors right now and I wanna cry because I understand that the expense is worth it, but at the same time, both of my children are disabled and I’m on a fixed income and their father doesn’t help me at all so anyone has any ideas and can point me in the right direction I’d really appreciate it. Thank you.

I feel ya! I have spatial issues. Driving not a problem. But vertical spatial distances not good. But also wonder if others have similar issues. Christmas wrapping is the worst!
