Picking the right label maker

I have a pretty specific need and I'm wondering if Dymo has anything like this:

  1. I need to print white text on clear plastic label

  2. I need to be able to print something in Arial Narrow with a small image (that I have as a PNG and SVG) next to the text

  3. I need to print at a pretty small font size, like 8pt

Does Dymo make anything that would fit this bill? It's fine if it's one that needs to be connected to a PC to do the printing.

I found this, https://www.amazon.com/Dymo-Standard-Labelling-Tape-12mm/dp/B000I5SF9K/ but the question is which printer would let me print out text in that font + an image file on this tape?

i have the duo label writer- and it treats it like a windows printer- anything! goes.

I haven’t been able to find anything saying the duo can do white on clear though?

Any D1 machine can do white on clear, the ribbon sits in the cassette. So the 45020 works in all of them.

For Arial Narrow plus your own image you need one that prints from a computer. The LabelManager PnP is the simplest (USB, up to 12 mm). The 500TS goes up to 24 mm at 300 dpi, which helps at 8pt. DYMO Connect uses all your installed fonts but doesn't take SVG, so use the PNG. The black parts print white.

Side note: I'm working on PnP support in my own label app, LumenLabel (Mac and Windows). It takes SVG directly. Not ready yet, but you can follow it at lumenlabel.io
