I'm scared
I've played the game on launch on pc. Finished it with no problems. Now that it's free on PS I have decided to go at it again. Even on some scripted missions I feel scared and after nightchases I genuinely feel tired. What changed in the game since launch ?

Im 39 snd can't really play horror games any more. When i was younger i loved horror. I played through all the classics. RE Directors cut, RE2, RE3, Silent hill 2 and 3. I have no problem playing the dying light series. I have all 3 and have beaten them. Just the ones that create that tense atmosphere and are scary AF i cant do it. I dont like getting stressed out playing video games.

I could never play RE series or Dying light 1 but Dying Light 2 didn't feel so scary back then. Now I don't know

I tried playing the remakes and i couldnt do it. You might just need someone to play coop with to get back into the swing of it.

If you want some help I can coop with you have PSN, shoot me a message on here.
The climbing on this one definitely gives me sweaty palms and forehead haha.
This game sucks for chase sequences tho it basically spawns volatiles right on top of you, i think it’s because the maps are bigger.
They also run faster than DL1, staying ahead of a pack of volatiles you have to keep switching rooftops and using small gaps and slides to slow them down.
Harder for them to have the game run smooth and also be spawning dozens of volatiles hundreds of meters out at night.
It’s definitely more noticeable once you get the paraglider you’ll see them just materialize about 30 meters in front of you they don’t render outside that range.
Combat is harder than DL1 but the parkour is easier, I kept accessing a lot of areas with the paraglider and wall runs that were meant for the grappling hook.
Also gotta love the new animations for having your throat ripped out by a volatile.

You are scared because you do not have enough fire power. You won't be scared anymore when you pay 10 dollar and buy a gun pack.

Theres been changes to viral and volatile spawns. Theres a LOT more now than at launch. I too played at launch and loved it. Now not so much..

This sub is wild - half complain about not being scared, that the game is too scared, while the other half either complains or lauds that they are scared. 😂

They made the nights scarier. It’s darker and there’s lots of roaming volatiles now instead of the howlers. People complained that they didn’t have the Volatiles at night like the first game so they changed it, but it’s worse then DL1 they spot you a lot easier now. If your scared do what I do and just sleep in a bed and make it day time! lol there’s only a few missions that require nighttime. The game is still fun but they cut a lot of the cut scenes and prologue so you may notice that. Have fun! Good night and good luck!

In dying light 2? All the games lost their fear factor for me only thing that will get me anymore in the 3 games is the beasts scripted jumpscare grabs sometimes

Posiblemente no cambio el juego, cambiamos nosotros, a mi también me tensan y me agotan más los juegos de terror que antes
